The Board of Directors and Senior Management of
The National Monuments Foundation have been carefully developed
from a cross-section of individuals who are committed to the mission
of creating self-sustaining, destination landmarks that benefit
the citizens of the United States. The Directors
are actively engaged in the operations of the Foundation and are
key advisors with expertise and influence on a global level. The following is a brief biography of each of the Board and Honorary Board members.

Rodney M. Cook, Jr., President
Rodney M. Cook, Jr. is a graduate of Washington and Lee University, class of 1978. His early work in Atlanta began while initiating the campaign that successfully saved the historic, 6000-seat Fox Theatre. In 1982, he established Rodney M. Cook Interests, a design/development company, and in 1987, he formed PolitesCook Architects, a firm that designed the Newington Cropsey Museum, NY to house the largest American collection of Hudson River School paintings (Arthur Ross Award to founder). He is a Founding Trustee of The Prince of Wales’s Foundation for Architecture and organized the design and construction of the Prince’s Olympic Games Monument in Atlanta alongside Anton Glikine, et al. His preservation efforts have also involved the establishment of the Russian National Trust for Historic Preservation. He is on the board of directors of the Hearst Foundation/Hearst Castle, Atlanta Landmarks (owner of the Fox Theatre), Institute for Classical Architecture, The New York Philomusica, and Public Broadcasting PBS Atlanta. He has lectured at the University of Virginia, the University of Tennessee, Hearst Castle, the Kremlin Armory, the Tolstoy estate Yasnaya Polyana, the Open Society Institute, the Soros Foundation, Moscow, the National Building Museum, Washington D.C., the U.S. Senate, and the Russian Embassy, Washington. His work has been published in Architectural Digest, The New York Times, The Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, Financial Times of London, Pravda, Izvestia, The New Yorker, The Weekly Standard, and USA Today.

Cullen Hammond
Attorney, Hammond, Tarkenton & Dinopoli. Mr. Hammond is also
Chief Council for Nationwide Insurance Company. Mr. Hammond has
been widely involved in historic preservation in the Southeastern region,
having served on the Board of Directors of Historic Rhodes Hall,
headquarters of the Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation.
Rawson Haverty, Jr.
Vice President, Haverty Furniture Company and Director of Haverty
Real Estate. All Haverty’s stores are the property of this
100+ year-old company, which is the third largest furniture retail
company in the U.S. Mr. Haverty also sits on the Board of the High
Museum of Art, Atlanta, Georgia, and his museum background is of extraordinary
benefit to National Monuments Foundation as it pursues its history
museum component.
Pamela Rollins
Philanthropist. Ms. Rollins is a noted philanthropist with a keen interest in
education. She has been significantly involved with The Lovett
School, Berry College, and Emory University, among other educational
institutions. Her experience will assist The National Monuments
Foundation in creating a superior teaching facility. Ms. Rollins
also worked to save the historic Fox Theatre in Atlanta, Georgia.

Robert Tolleson
President and CEO of CPO Commerce Inc., California. A graduate
of Harvard Business School, Mr. Tolleson has lived all over
the world, primarily Asia, and has a significant background in
education and the arts. He maintains strong connections to the
American philanthropic business community.

Arol Wolford
President, ROI Corporation. Mr. Wolford established one of the
largest construction data companies in the world. His interests
in the built environment rival that of the Prince of Wales, having established
companies that restore forgotten historic buildings in urban centers,
giving them new uses. The Wolford family sponsors The American
Institute of Architect’s annual gold medal awards.

Colin Amery
Head of the World Monuments Fund, United Kingdom. Mr. Amery is a Founding Trustee of the Prince of Wales’s
Foundation for Architecture. He is a preservationist, urbanist,
and author of numerous books on architecture, as well as the architecture
critic for the Financial Times of London.

Tommy Bagwell
Chairman and CEO of American Proteins, Georgia.
A philanthropist with an interest in classical architecture, Mr. Bagwell is a pivotal figure in educational advancements in Georgia and in the United States.
His association with The Carter Presidential Center
has taken him around the world as an emissary and elections monitor
and observer.

Richard H. Driehaus
Driehaus Capital Management, Chicago. Mr. Driehaus is the Chief Investment Officer and chairman of Driehaus Capital Management, a multi-billion dollar enterprise, and has been generous in a variety of philanthropic and business sectors. Having maintained an ardent interest in classical design and development, he established through the University of Notre Dame and his two charitable trusts the Richard H. Driehaus Prize for Classical Architecture. His historic preservation efforts include the restorations of the Ransom Cable House in Chicago, a 1905 Georgian Revival house in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin; a design competition for the garden at Chicago’s Millennium Park; Roosevelt Park in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands; and the historic Nickerson Mansion, one of the finest residences ever built in Chicago and now home to the Richard H. Driehaus Museum.

Susan Eisenhower
President of Eisenhower World Affairs Institute, Washington D.C. Ms. Eisenhower is a member of the Board of the National Trust
for Historic Preservation and is a key international figure concentrating
on making urban centers viable. As a consultant to the United
States Department of Defense, Ms. Eisenhower also pursues the
stabilization of the world’s nuclear arsenal.
Tom Glenn
President of The Glenn Family Foundation, Atlanta. The Glenn Family has enriched Atlanta like few families in the city's history. They have built universities, hospitals, churches, and
corporations, among other influential, urban features, all concentrated on improving the quality
of life in Atlanta. Mr. Glenn has also recently created an enlightened program
at The Westminster Schools for philanthropy, which will become
a catalyst for other similar programs around the United States.
Anne Randolph Hearst
Philanthropist, New York and Board President of Hearst Castle Foundation, an American historic
house/museum in San Simeon, California. Ms. Hearst is the granddaughter
of William Randolph Hearst, a noted American journalist, politician,
and architectural aficionado who at one time owned The Atlanta Georgian (now The Atlanta
Journal-Constitution) which his son Randolph (the father of Ms. Hearst) ran.
The Hearsts are supporters of local Atlanta educational institutions
as well, having endowed Oglethorpe University.

Remar Sutton
Author, Tortola, British Virgin Islands. A Georgia native, Mr. Sutton is an international figure with strong connections to the business, cultural, and philanthropic world.
He is a strong proponent of education, and his books focus on
educational pursuits. Mr. Sutton is also an authority on Scandinavian
baroque architecture.
Priscilla Roosevelt
Author, Washington D.C. A noted architectural theorist and scholar focusing on Russian classicism,
Ms. Roosevelt has been involved in historic preservation globally
and is a fixture on the international lecture circuit. Her book
Life on the Russian Country Estate is a photographic basis for
the establishment of the Russian National Trust for Historic Preservation.
The New York Roosevelts are related to the Georgia Bulloch Family,
builders of Bulloch Hall, near Atlanta (below).

Thomas Gordon Smith
Former Chairman, School of Architecture, University of Notre Dame, Indiana. Chairman Smith is a visionary educator who has estabilished the premiere classical school
in the United States. He has formed
close associations with the Prince of Wales’s Institute,
the University of Miami, the St. Petersburg Academy, Yale University,
and Moscow Institute, helping to establish these institutions as centers
of world classical architectural thought. His practice also thrives
and is based in New York and South Bend, Indiana.

Philanthropist, Atlanta. A key figure in the Atlanta business, education, and arts communities, Ms. Wills was a major force in saving the historic Fox Theatre
and sits on the board of Atlanta Landmarks, owner of the 6000-seat theatre.

Author, New York. The definitive American author chronicling our time, Mr. Wolfe’s
books The Painted Word and From Bauhaus to Our House, which dissect
the global arts and architectural communities, establish him as
an intellectual who fully understands the import of the mission
of The National Monuments Foundation on the nation’s cities.
